Background Launched in 1998
Centro Linguistico Internazionale Sorrento Lingue (Sorrento
Lingue), encountered countless challenging situations on its
way to becoming the premier center for language instruction
and cultural education in Italy. Located in Sorrento Italy,
Sorrento Lingue didn’t want to be branded as a seasonal
school, despite the seasonal nature of the town in which it
operates. Sorrento is a seaside town ideally located on the
Sorrentine Peninsula between the Bay of Naples and Salerno,
it experiences high influx of tourist from all over during
the world during the months of June to September. With the
TAG’s concepts and solutions, Sorrento Lingue remains
one of the few businesses in Sorrento to experience full operating
capabilities all year round.
Challenge TAG International’s
main challenges were increase enrolment at Sorrento Lingue,
to attract students during off-peak seasons, to redesign the
business structure and to prepare Sorrento Lingue’s
management and staff to handle strategic partnerships in education
with American Universities and other educational institution.
TAG’s main objective was to establish Sorrento Lingue
as a competitive, recognized center for international education
in both the domestic and international markets.
TAG’s Strategic Solutions TAG
proceeded by first establishing partnerships with American
Universities, notable Italian cultural institutions, and International
travel agencies. With aggressive marketing campaigns designed
to enhance business performance, strategic brand consulting
projects, TAG was able to propel Sorrento Lingue from an Italian
Language school to a well-respected learning institution that
welcomes a diverse body of international students. In order
to handle the increased number of enrolled students, the staff
and key management personnel had to be trained on how to increase
their organizational efficiencies, their knowledge of the
various international educational systems and solving customers-related
problems. To further tackle the challenges facing Sorrento
Lingue, TAG implemented its leapfrog marketing strategy solution
package and succeeded in increasing Sorrento Lingue enrolment
by 46%. The reputation of the Sorrento Lingue was enhanced,
awareness was dramatically increased and enduring strategic
relationships has been form. Despite a complex set of challenges,
TAG was able to augment Sorrento Lingue’s performance,
internally and externally, by implementing this strategic
consulting design that achieved sustainable, superior results.
With key partnership with academic institution such as Hofstra
University and cultural institution such as OSIA and NIAF,
TAG’s revolutionary strategies and experience consultants,
Sorrento Lingue has evolved from a small language school in
Sorrento to a recognizable center for language education and
cultural instruction.
