Titanya Hughes is a powerhouse. She founded and ran two international
companies before the age of 26, Miracle Leather fashions in
Florence, Italy and T.A.G. Marketing International Inc., with
offices in New York and Sorrento, Italy. Now, at the age of
30, she has a vision to develop markets in South America and
Asia.
T.A.G. Marketing International is a full-service management
and marketing consulting firm specializing in helping individuals,
teams and organizations achieve unprecedented levels of performance
by leveraging and maximizing individual, group and organizational
potential. Hughes has helped clients address the needs of
their markets, craft strategies to penetrate a broader market,
assess risks, exploit opportunities and build partnerships
and includes companies like Centro Linguistico Italiano Dante
Alighieri and Sorrento Lingue in Italy; InterLatina, Dimensions
in Travel, JPMorganChase and the World Wide Classroom and
National Registration Center for Study Abroad in Milwaukee,
Wisc. She has also worked with Hofstra University to develop
programs such as European Odyssey and Beyond the Borders to
Mexico.
Hughes received the Key Women of America achievement award
in 1997, is listed in the 1999 edition of Who's Who in Business
and received recognition from Hofstra University in 2002 as
a Distinguished Alum for international achievements. She is
a mentor to more than 16 high school and college women and
coaches young women on professional achievement as well as
academic excellence. She is the founder of the Michael Anthony
Hughes Memorial Scholarship fund, giving third and fourth
graders at Maurice W. Downing School a chance to attend Hofstra
University Summer Reading Camp each summer.
She lectures at universities on Long Island about the importance
of going abroad and speaks at civic organizations and churches.
Hughes is currently in the process of writing a book on achieving
international excellence, the proceeds of which will benefit
young men and women who want to study abroad.
